💍 Vow
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Vow ("we", "our", "the app") helps couples create and share digital wedding
invitations, and lets guests RSVP through a shared link. This policy explains what
information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information: your name and email address, when you create an account to build an invitation.
- Invitation content: details you choose to add to an invitation — such as names, wedding date, venue names and addresses, map location (latitude/longitude), event timeline, RSVP settings, and photos you upload.
- Guest RSVP responses: when someone responds to an invitation via the shared link, we collect the name, attendance status, party size, and any dietary notes they submit. This is provided by your guests, not by you.
- Technical and diagnostic data: crash reports and basic device/app diagnostics, collected automatically to help us fix bugs.
- Push notification tokens: used to notify you when a guest RSVPs to your invitation.
How We Use Information
- To create, store, and display your wedding invitation, both in the app and via the public link you share.
- To collect and show you your guests' RSVP responses.
- To send you a notification when a guest responds.
- To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
How Information Is Shared
- Public invitation link: anyone with your invitation's link can view the invitation content (names, date, venue, photos) you chose to include. Do not include information you don't want visible to anyone with the link.
- Guest responses are visible only to you, the invitation's owner.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, and Hosting) to store and process this data on our behalf. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Firebase/Google Cloud handles data.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your invitations and associated guest responses are stored until you delete them from the app,
or until you request deletion of your account. To request deletion of your account and
associated data, contact us using the email below.
Children's Privacy
Vow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
Security
We use industry-standard tools (Google Firebase) with access controls to protect your
information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to
protect your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with
an updated "Last updated" date.
